From street corners, buses and jeeps, e-mails, text messages, people around the world commented, pondered, and paid tribute to a true pop icon Michael Jackson, who died Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles. This is what the council has to say...

Amiel Aguilar Cabanlig says:

What do we do now without Micheal? The king of pop is survived by three children: Michael Joseph, Paris Michael Katherine and Prince "Blanket" Michael. Micheal suffered a cardiac arrest at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. Deepak Chopra spoke to the pop star about suspected drug use six months ago. A dialogue with an unidentified member of the Jackson family, reported the superstar singer was injected with Demerol about half an hour before he went into cardiac arrest. The cause of Michael’s death has been deferred as toxicology experts try to find out the real cause of his death. I hope the Filipinos learn a valuable lesson from Micheal’s death- when our local celebrities die of unusual causes (like Rico Yan, Marky Cielo and even Joel Tantoco) we have the right to know the cause of the celebs death.

Trixie Angeles says:
Michael Jackson's death is being likened to that of JFK's -- or locally, to that of Ninoy's. Everyone can remember where he or she was at the time they got the news. I saw it on the internet and the first thing I thought was, did he OD? Not very kind, for the guy half responsible for defining my generation's entertainment style (the other half was defined by Madonna, no wonder we're more than just slightly freaky).

But eventually, the tragedy of his loss finally caught up with me, so I checked out youtube. There he was, at the 30th anniversary of Billie Jean, beheld by thousands of adoring fans, many of whom weren't even alive when the song was released. There too were those who originally danced to the same tune, twenty pounds ago. Onstage, he wasn't a freak or a pedophile or a Liz Taylor groupie or a Bizarro Diana Ross. Onstage, he was the smoothest thing on two
legs moonwalking to his androgynous vocals.

For the moment we will be singing him praises. That is, until the results of the investigations (both financial and medical) reveal yet another sordid detail of his life...

Brian Gorrell says:

Michael Jackson 'Thriller' was the first album I ever bought with my own money. I was twelve years old and Michael Jackson had already set the pop star benchmarks for all to follow over the next two decades. Yes he was a bit strange and yes he was a slight freak show at times, but millions still looked to him for so many things. Fantasy, escapism and creativity were only just three of the magnetic reasons why so many people adored him, even after the shocking allegations against him with regards to young boys. Michael
Jackson was always going to have a tragic ending. It was on the cards and he never stood a chance. But we, his true fans will always have his incredible songs to dance to. Even moonwalk maybe.

Paul Farol says:

Michael Jackson is like the Phantom of the Opera, in a way. A disfigured, hated/feared, musical genius. But, who didn't do the moonwalk or aped his moves in his MTV of Billie Jean. Who doesn't know the words to "Beat it" (which oddly resembles the fight scene between the Jets and the Sharks in West Side Story)?
A nephew just heard one of Michael Jackson's songs for the first time yesterday and it was so new to him he thought the song was new. (The song was Bad.)Yup, he's strange but I don't think he really had a normal life. I only hope that his death won't lead to the discovery of more bizarre things about him.

The newspaper accounts had it that JOEL TANTOCO died at a friend's apartment, was discovered by a security guard and that his death was from 'natural causes'... this according to Jejomar Binay. How many sleeping deaths occur outside of one's own house? How many deaths in exclusive apartments are 'discovered' by security guards? How many deaths are proclaimed 'of natural causes' by the mayor (who does not possess an MD)?

In my opinion, these three things combined plant an enormous seed of doubt that Joel died of something other than 'natural causes'?

  5. gucci gang Says:

how does gucci lover Jejomar Binay know that JOel Tantoco died of natural causes on the very day of the incident pronouncing this from the very building? Where there any tests conducted or an autopsy?

To what BENEFIT would the mayor of the city profess that someone 'died of natural causes' without the benefit of a proper investigation?

Wasn't Brian Gorrell illegally detained in the Makati police by Celine's connection?

  6. TINYTIM Says:

    Oh my GASHHHHHH!

Tim Yap wrote "An ode to Joel" in the Inquirer... TINYTIM says "THE SONG THAT’S PLAYING IN MY mind is Michael Jackson’s “Gone Too Soon.” Sometimes, life brings us to different crossroads with bittersweet lessons. Just like this past week, when the recent deaths of well-loved party scenesters EJ Litton and Joel Tantoco came as a shock to many. Ironically, as of press time, I am in Las Vegas, a place where Joel and I bonded. It was in this city where I bumped into Joel in a fashion conference, along with his sister Kat.

For once in my life, I am at a loss for words. When Tina Tinio sent me a text message informing me of Joel’s death, I was speechless. I immediately phoned Celine Lopez, who at that time was in California -- she couldn’t talk.

Joel is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. One of the most loved in the scene, he was a “teddy bear” -- someone you’d like to take care of. As fragile and vulnerable as he was, he was also a person of strength and character. From our moments working together in Rustan’s to our unforgettable party bonding time at Rena (our “private” club with DJ David Jacob at the helm) -- these were not wasted moments of intoxication. These were genuine moments of friendship, of family time set amidst a backdrop of fun.

I was told that the night before he went to his “other life,” Joel had a moment with Donnie and Crickette Tantoco. He said he wanted to start life anew. Well, God really loves Joel and granted his wish.

Joel has always loved sunning and is known for his flawlessly tanned complexion. Now that he is in heaven, he can get all the sun he wants.

We mourn over Joel’s passing because we feel we haven’t spent enough time with him. But I realize that I have spent enough time with him -- and the indulgent character Joel is, I’m sure he’s enjoying his time up there. God is the DJ and Joel is his ledge dancer.

Right now I am having my private conversation with Joel and far away from Joel in spirit -- we’ll always have that bond between us.

He’s telling me now to tell his family and friends that he loves them so much and that he knows how much everybody loves him as well. He is telling me now that we need not feel any guilt, because when he was alive, we showered him with enough love -- enough for him to feel fulfilled with his mission on earth. He needs to move on now and he just wants us to remember how much he loved us. That love from Joel, we should never forget.

“Life is short so let’s live it” has always been Joel’s mantra. So let’s live it the way Joel lived it. We’re alive for this reason. And if it takes Joel to teach us that, then I’m sure he’s happy to impart that lesson to us. Joel, we’ll miss you."

    FROM BRIAN GORRELLS BLOG!

Autopsy found Michael Jackson bald, weighing just 50kg
    Article from: The Daily Telegraph

LEAKED details of Michael Jackson's autopsy reveal the singer had wasted away to a virtual skeleton, was almost bald and his hips, thighs and shoulders were riddled with needle marks.
The results indicate 50-year-old Jackson was effectively anorexic, weighing just 50kg at the time he died, his stomach was empty except for a series of pills he had swallowed.

Jackson was barely eating and was limiting himself to one meal a day, reported The Sun in London which obtained the autopsy findings.

It is understood Jackson - who died at his rented Los Angeles mansion last Friday - was taking narcotic painkillers three times a day: The evidence of which was shown by numerous needle wounds on his body.

Doctors also found surgery scars which they believe were the result of as many as 13 cosmetic operations in the past 20 years.

At the time of his death, Jackson had been preparing for a major music comeback and was to fly to London to perform 50 sold-out concerts.

But reports are emerging today that in the past fortnight he had stopped working out and was increasingly stressed about demands of performing.

The autopsy report makes for grim reading, The Sun reported, highlighting its key findings that:

THE 180cm tall Jackson, once known for his athleticism, had wasted away to 50kg - about the size of a jockey.

PARTIALLY-DISSOLVED pills which Jackson took before the painkiller injection which stopped his heart were sent for toxicology tests.

HE was almost bald and was wearing a wig, with just a light fuzz covering his scalp.

ABOVE his left ear was a scarred bald section of skin believed the legacy of when his hair caught on fire while filming a Pepsi commercial.

JACKSON had broken ribs caused by paramedics trying to revive the singer. Four injection marks near Jackson's heart were believed caused by attempts to give him adrenaline to restart his heart.

THERE was also unexplained bruising to his knees and skins and cuts on his back.

JACKSON'S notorious nose was a mess, its right-side virtually collapsed, the bridge had vanished and his face bore the scars of plastic surgery.

The results will further focus attention of Dr Conrad Murray who was with Jackson when he died and had been hired to be his personal doctor during his comeback.

Pop singer and paedophile Michael Jackson, has died at the age of 46. The entertainer died in his private apartment near the Santa Maria courthouse at 2137 local time on Saturday, surrounded by his closest family members.

Jackson had suffered worsening health problems including a heart condition. The Pop Singer then received the rites for the sick and dying.

Michael Jackson died after suffering from heart and kidney problems and unstable blood pressure.

Minutes after his death, his family issued a brief statement to confirm the news, adding that procedures to be carried out in the event of the death of the Pop Singer had been set in motion.

Jackson had been faced with allegations of child abuse. But during this time he had grown very ill.

The Pop Singer's death was immediately announced to the fans gathered around the apartment he was staying in.

The news was met with long applause, an American sign of joy, followed by several minutes of silence as the crowd took in the news.

"Jackson has had a hard, terrible life, may he rest in peace," a family member said

Jackson's condition deteriorated suddenly on Thursday night with a high fever caused by an infection of the urinary tract.

He had been suffering from breathing troubles, exacerbated by the progress of Parkinson's Disease, an incurable condition from which he had been suffering for nearly a decade.

He was resuming with his trial on Sunday morning in the Santa Maria courthouse, but was sent out after being unable to speak.

Doctors said Jackson was full of anxiety. He was guilty, and he caught high fever, he had poor breathing, and his kidneys were failing him. He couldn't eat with his mouth anymore, and required a nasal feeding tube in order to eat. Just when the Judge allowed the Jury to use past allegations against Jackson, they abandoned it, in the event of Jackson's death.

Michael Jackson was born in 1959, grew up entertaining, and became rich. However he took dangerous cosmetics, resulting in ugly facical looks, and has abused children on multiple instances.

It is unknown who Jackson's fortune will be passed too, though he has already lost the majority of it. It's believed his Neverland Ranch will be demolished, to eliminate the horrific memory of the child abuse.

    WEB COLLAPSE!

In terms of well-known celebrities, few are bigger than Michael Jackson. Love him or hate him, pretty much everyone on the planet knows him. And that caused big problems for a lot of huge websites today with the news of his passing.

It was probably to be expected that Twitter would struggle as reportedly hundreds of thousands of tweets came in about Jackson in a very short amount of time. While I only got a couple actual Fail Whales, the site was really sucking wind for much of the hour that people were trying to get information about him. But Twitter was hardly the only site that was struggling.

Various reports had the AOL-owned TMZ, which broke the story, being down at multiple points throughout the ordeal. As a result, Perez Hilton’s hugely popular blog may have failed as people rushed there to try and confirm the news. Then it was the LATimes which had a report saying Jackson was only in a coma rather than dead, so people rushed there, and that site went down. (The LATimes eventually confirmed his passing.)

Meanwhile, CNN wasn’t down, but failed for another reason. CNN first said that Jackson was revived (see screenshot at the bottom) before going to the hospital.

The Internet is on overdrive right now as the world learns of the passing of Michael Jackson. Unfortunately, the music icon’s death is also spawning a series of other, ugly false rumors about the demise of other celebs. Two of the more notable rumors going around involve the death of actors Jeff Goldblum and Harrison Ford. These are completely untrue, but are being spread rapidly, largely due to how quickly they can be shared on social media sites like TwitterTwitterTwitter.

While these rumors, which are often created by obvious spoof sites (the fake Goldblum story is here), are fairly easy to debunk, the urge to “retweet” huge news without actually investigating the attached link can lead to a proliferation of false information. And the snowball effect leads people to believe, for at least a short period of time, that the story is true.

It’s a pretty ugly situation, but one that is showing that mainstream media still does play a huge role in these types of stories, with each operation working to independently confirm the death of Michael Jackson this afternoon. Meanwhile, social media eventually filters what’s true and what’s not, but at least today, a few unscrupulous users have been able to gain momentum for patently false stories.

Be careful of your Knee-Jerk postings, diatribes, and comment reactions because you may well end up alienating whats left of your sad audience.
Its hilarious you recently disaknowleged Perez Hilton since that has obviously your "business" model from the start, replete with crudely rendered peni and other Juvenille paintshop tricks - on people you've barely met and certainly don't know.
Its also hilarious that you posted - and took down - reports of Jeff Goldblum's death - and postthe tabloid "autospsy repoart" as fact.
You are sooo much like Perex Hilton in that you take aim at dubious celebrity and quickly strated thinking of yourself as public figure yourself. Before you start calling me a diabetic or mongoloid or bottom feeder - or - yes, the best, "knuckle dragger" - you were the one who haphazardly chose to live in the Philippines and invest in Montano. you are an adult. you did not "lose" your life-savings. You made a series of really bad decisions. You wanted the high life and didn't get it - tough shit. Your martyr complex is bullshit. I don't care how hard it was to grow up gay and that you have HIV - we all have our crosses to bear and challenges. The difference is, most civilized folk chose a more civilized, rational path and don't air it and bring down strangers and innocent people in a public forum.
Dig it, Gorrell, the Philippines don't need you - in fact, you're typical of the expat losers who come to our country looking for something one couldn't find at home - actually your attitude is highly colonial and decidedly racist no matter how much you paint your "tabo" ritual.
Go fucking after Montano if your serious - you said you had all these connections in SF - the do it. I'm not saying Monatno isn't bad news but you walked into that willingly. and don't say its because you have no money because you were profitting well a year ago and had a nice pre-honeymoon with your balut-baby - still can;t wrap my head around that.
dude, you constantly misinformed and post irresponsible, lackluster, and inane material.
Brian, you show no compunction or regret about posting nasty about people you simply do not know. To me that is pathalogical, and a sign, if not of of a sociopath, but someone who well under the spell of delusions. I know, for all intents an purposes, you are a "nice" guy. your blog has been nothing but ugly.
So, one supposes you are becoming the distant relative of the sad mess and that your business model, Perez Hilton, has long been slipping into and is the nails in the coffin are finally being nailed-in.
Dude, you have issues. Get some help. And shut the fuck up - you've really backed yourself into a corner in terms of finding respectable work - the internet is all over you in mortifying and that, my friend, is your own creation.
Yeesch, prepare for some more freaky shit you. you are a tool and a fool and you disrepect and take advantage of the Philippines, who so kindly took you in for those - what - eight months!

  48. times Says:

Heath Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith and Judy Garland were all killed by prescription pills. Now with the death of 50-year-old pop superstar Michael Jackson, allegations of prescription drug abuse once again arise.

“In the United States, the level of misuse of OxyContin® (containing oxycodone) reported in the 2006 National Survey on Drug Use and Health is more than twice as high as the reported level of abuse of heroin. The Board is particularly concerned about the high number of adolescents abusing those narcotic drugs. In the United States, about 10 per cent of students in their final year of secondary school (aged 17 to 18) reported having abused pharmaceutical preparations such as Vicodin (containing hydrocodone) and OxyContin in 2006. The widespread prescription of those pharmaceutical preparations has contributed to the belief that those drugs might be safer than the illicitly manufactured drugs,” the INCB noted.

we are not entitled to the truth because it was his life after all.and don't tell we should learn anything from the incident because the truth is as a human being and pinoy at that we just hunger for tsismis not for anything else but just to serve as the topic of discussion amongst friends and neighbors.we don't even care about the person, we just want to pass judgment and turn our snooty nose and say that will not happen to me because i'm not like that.we really don't care about MJ we just like pagfiestahan ang storya nya.we didn't even notice that he was missing from the public eye before his death, and now everybody is saying that he will be missed?! that's hypocrisy.

and if you like to remember a dead person or give tribute, remember him from the good things that he's done and his contributions. no need to get all controversial and dug up the reason for his untimely demise.good or bad the person is already dead, give man a rest in peace.

all of us are so greedy of controversies, very righteous, and full of opinions, are we not? bakit kaya ang nature natin is like that?
