Miriam Quiambao Tweeting for Gilbert Teodoro?
Twitter followers of 1999 Miss Universe 1st-runner Miriam Quiambao were surprised to get not only updates about her life but also tweets expressing support for Lakas-Kampi-CMD standard bearer Gilbert Teodoro.
In her April 20 tweet, she said that "of all presidentiables, Gibo is the only [one] who can unite this country of divided people and bring this archipelago together. Healing."The beauty queen also tweets about updates on Teodoro's campaign and even answers questions from her followers regarding her bet.
For Quiambao, Teodoro is the most competent and the right man for the job among all the presidential aspirants.
In an email interview with Yahoo! Southeast Asia, Quiambao reveals she has never met Teodoro in person.
"I know of him only through what I have seen on his interviews and what I read about him in the media,” says Quiambao. “I am amazed at what other people who know him and have experienced him say about the man," she adds.
Quiambao also admires his commitment and loyalty to his wife, Tarlac’s 1st district representative, Nikki Prieto-Teodoro and their son.
“We need a leader who sees family as a priority because it means that he recognizes the needs of every family and will work toward keeping it together.”
The beauty queen-turned-actress admits that no presidential candidate asked for her endorsement and that her vocal support for Teodoro is voluntary.
She also asked for prayers for peaceful and honest elections in her April 28 tweet.
“Once your vote is cast, let go & let God,” she adds.
Quiambao plans to attend the scheduled youth rally for Teodoro on May 1.

How can gibo unite the country when he supports the most hated president in recent memory?
people tend to forget he is still (and always be) a cojuangco.
hey miriam, correction lang. it's Dick Gordon who's the most competent. he tells it like it should be told to a hard-headed populace, and he will make the tough decisions. THAT'S a leader.
Gibo is the most favored candidate of all the other political parties (when asked who they will vote for if they have not given support yet to other presidentiables, they say it's GIBO- Adel Tamano (NP), Cynthia Villar (NP), Jinggoy and Erap Estrada (PMP), Juan Ponce Enrile (PMP), Ralph Recto (LP) and many others (you can search this on the net).
I believe Gibo can reach out to all the political parties once elected as president and can unite the Philippines as a nation. With Noynoy as president, how can you expect Villar allies to support his presidency and vice versa???
btw,Gibo is the only candidate NOT criticized by other presidentiables, even GORDON. I just hope that Gordon would stop criticizing other candidates blatantly on national tv, yes he is competent, but he should have focused on platforms and plans for the country instead of pulling his opponents down. For that he lost my vote.
The only 'con' about Gibo is that he's connected to PGMA. That's it.
If Gordon loses, it's not his loss. It's the Phillipines' loss.
Although I can live with a Gibo win, he can't match the Dick in experience.
Focusing on the personality rather than the capability is a trait we must learn to eradicate. We'll never get anywhere that way.
Having said this, these 2 candidates will be good news for the country should they win.....but the stupidity majority of Filipinos will fail to see this once again.

But his views are different from President Arroyo. It is improper to call him PGMA's lapdog because Gilbert Teodoro is his own man. He made his own name and he has curbed 70% of the corruption in the DND. Now tell me, which of the other candidates have solved corruption in their respective fields?
